Hyperhidrosis
Primary hyperhidrosis is a disorder characterized by excessive sweating of unknown origin. It usually occurs in the palms, armpits, feet or face, which is where there are the greatest number of sweat glands and can occur in both men and women at any age.
The cause of primary hyperhidrosis is unknown, which means that there is no objective cause that explains the phenomenon. The only reliable evidence is excess stimulation through the autonomic nerves. It is important to rule out secondary causes of hyperhidrosis, such as hyperthyroidism, diabetes, cancer, menopause, etc.
HOW IS IT TREATED?
applying relaxing neurotoxin locally. It is injected into the affected area, reducing sweating as it blocks the chemical messengers that predispose the skin to sweat. It is very effective against perspiration but its effects are temporary and it is necessary to repeat the applications. (Approximate duration between 6-9 months).
