Emtone

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

It is the first and only FDA-cleared device to simultaneously deliver thermal energy (monopolar radiofrequency) and mechanical energy (shockwaves), effectively and non-invasively targeting the main causes of cellulite and skin laxity.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

EMTONE targets the main causes of cellulite: loss of skin elasticity, fat deposits, fluid retention, poor circulation, and fibrous bands responsible for the appearance of “orange peel” skin.

It combines monopolar radiofrequency and shockwave therapy in a single session. Radiofrequency safely heats the tissue, stimulating collagen and improving skin firmness and texture.

At the same time, shockwaves help improve circulation and support the removal of fluids and metabolic waste.

The simultaneous action of both technologies provides a comprehensive approach to cellulite, enhancing their effects within a single session.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?

A conductive radiofrequency cream is applied to the treatment area. The procedure is performed while the patient is lying down, allowing them to relax throughout the session.

Most patients describe the treatment as comfortable, similar to a painless hot-stone massage combined with intense mechanical vibrations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?

A complete treatment generally consists of 4 to 6 sessions. However, this may vary depending on each patient’s needs and the medical indication. Each session usually takes around 20 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
  • ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS?

The treatment is contraindicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or an ongoing IVF procedure. It is also contraindicated in people with cardiovascular conditions such as vascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, thrombophlebitis, or thrombosis; a history of bleeding disorders or use of anticoagulants; a pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant; or metallic implants. For abdominal treatments, a copper IUD is also contraindicated. It should not be performed during radiotherapy or chemotherapy.
  • WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Patients have reported improvements after just one treatment session. However, results may continue to improve over the following months, with optimal results typically seen around 3 months after the final session, as new collagen and elastin develop and the skin becomes smoother.
